2024 5U Eligibility Rules  (downloadable pdf)

• 5 AND UNDER SUPER HERO BONSPIEL
• All players on a team competing in the Five-and-Under National Championship must have five years or less of curling experience.
• Ten games or more during a calendar year is considered one year of curling experience. Any play in 2020 does not count as a year of experience. 
• Event Eligibility.
  • U.S. citizenship or residency is required.
  • In addition to the USA Curling membership requirements in Section I, all team members must be dues-paying members of USA Curling.
  • Competitors must be 21 years of age on the 30th day of June immediately preceding the year in which the Five-and-Under Nationals take place.  (Were you born on or before June 30, 2003?)
  • Delivery of the stone with a stick device is permitted, but players cannot switch to a stick device during a game. 
• USA Curling is relying on bonspiel organizers to ensure that players meet eligibility requirements with the expectation that the Spirit of Curling will prevail. 
• To qualify for the Five and Under National Championship, all team members need to belong to a USA Curling member club. 
• The event will start Friday morning. We are unable to accommodate late-start requests. If you’re registering for others, please share this info with them.
